Oh what a night!
It was certainly an event to remember!
Celebrating 30 years of the Perth branch saw the shop area completely transformed for the party with shelves being moved and rearranged to make way for the event space. Space that was very much needed because it was a full house of almost 200 guests! Faces we see each day and old and new ones too.
Highlights included the building tour which the guests seemed to really enjoy, the history wall which was a real talking point, and the packing demonstration by Rotary volunteers in the warehouse. Staff were stationed all around the building to guide people through the tour and help find their way through the warehouse to the party.
The welcome to country by Ngalak Nidja had everyone talking, it was so engaging and heartfelt, and the audience participation made it extra special.
There was an amazing array of delicious food, such as Lemon Myrtle Chicken Skewers and Brie & Quandong Puffs – featuring native ingredients (Supplied by All Good Grub), seafood paella and mushroom risotto prepared by Chef Grant, san choy bow prepared by our very talented nutritionists, mushroom & feta rolls and crispy parmesan mushroom chips made with mushrooms donated by Costa Group and who could forget the sensational grazing board! Ensuring there was no waste, guests were encouraged to take home a container or two of food to enjoy.
It was a huge team effort to pull together an event of this size with such significance. Thank you to everyone who pitched in to help and to everyone that came. It was certainly a very special night, you can view the photos here.
