National Volunteer Week
Thanking those who spend time volunteering for Foodbank WA
National Volunteer Week, held on 15-21 May is fast approaching. It is one of favourite weeks of the year as it is a chance for us to celebrate and recognise the vital work of our amazing volunteers and to say thank you.
National Volunteer Week, held on 15-21 May is fast approaching. It is one of favourite weeks of the year as it is a chance for us to celebrate and recognise the vital work of our amazing volunteers and to say thank you.
The theme for this year is The Change Makers.
Volunteering brings people together; it drives change; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone. We have more than 200 people who attend a Foodbank branch each week as a regular volunteer. Each year more than 2000 people help out as corporate volunteers.
If the last few years proved anything, our volunteers are our heart and our get-up-and-go. Without our volunteers we couldn’t help as many people as we do. They turn care into action.
Thank you to Dome, Lotterywest and Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) for their support of our volunteer events.
