Volunteer Hamper Packing: L’Oréal Citizen Day 2018.

Every year, L’Oréal employees across the world devote an entire working day to offer their skills and energy to help hundreds of non-for-profits, in the social and environmental fields.

Citizen Day is a key community volunteering initiative under the L’Oréal Global Sharing Beauty with All program. Through this initiative, employees leave behind their daily roles to give back and support the communities in which they operate. In 2018, L’Oréal’s Citizen Day will support over 700 non-for-profits across 68 countries, with the participation of over 30,000 employees.

This year, L’Oréal Australia mobilised its employees to take part in their annual Citizen Day on the 24^th August (21^st August for WA) for a day dedicated to volunteering in the community. They were thrilled to have been able to have seven of their employees from the L’Oréal Queensland state field and education teams attend a hamper packing day at Foodbank Queensland.

The essential support services offered by the Foodbank organisation across the country are in direct alignment with L’Oréal Australia’s Sharing Beauty with All commitment to support the community in meaningful ways. L’Oréal Australia understands that for many Australians, their personal circumstances can mean that they may not have the resources to access food and other basic life necessities on a regular basis.

L’Oréal applauds Foodbank in their endeavours to assist families across the country as everyone deserves access to wholesome, fresh food because they are worth it.

Please be advised that Hamper Packing occurs on the last Friday of each month (except for December) and that all dates for 2018 have been filled however expressions of interest are being collected for 2019.
