Tassal, you’re fin-tastic!
It’s a rare sight to see fresh fish donated, and even rarer to receive a pallet of premium whole Barramundi from Cone Bay. 1310kg to be exact!
Thanks to Tassal Group, Australia’s largest vertically integrated seafood producer, some lucky customers got a huge surprise when they entered our chiller on a seemingly unremarkable Thursday – and were excited by the opportunity to taste some of the best ocean grown fish we have in Australia.

Given the fish was fresh, our warehouse and logistics experts quickly put together a plan to ensure the safe and very quick distribution to our customers. We collected the sought-after fish from the Tassal depot in North Coogee, put it on ice and arranged a team of volunteers to assist customers with picking out and bagging the fish so that they could get it home with minimal mess and fuss. The entire catch was cleaned out by the end of the day!
Barramundi is a nutritious and versatile fish, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and a good source of protein. In line with Tassal’s commitment to produce healthy, nutritious and accessible food for the world, Tassal Barramundi is responsibly farmed.
Keep us in mind for the next over-harvest Tassal!
