Spreading the Christmas Cheer
It sure is the giving season. Our branches have been the very grateful recipients of food and fund donations this month, here is just a snapshot:
Geraldton Grammer School supported a Christmas Food Appeal for the branch collecting and donating a huge 90kg of food providing the equivalent of 180 meals to families in need this Christmas.
In Kalgoorlie the donations haven’t stopped! The Rotary Club of Boulder donated 290kg worth of food, a wonderful surprise for the branch. In addition to this, Infrabuild who are very keen local supporters also got into the Christmas spirit donating 74kg of groceries and added a $95 cash donation, and the amazing Middle Island Fishing Crew donated 80kg of grocery items too, phew!
Peel have been busy distributing Give a Feed Hampers. While there are still some to go, so far 80 hampers have gone out to Foster Cares in the Greater Peel region via agency The Foster Share Shed and 80 hampers to over 20 schools are going out via the Youth Chaplains Agency, Youthcare.
Our Bunbury branch received an amazing donation of groceries from the very generous people at the Greater Bunbury Rotary Club. The first drop off was approximately $900 worth and there is another one to come next week.
Albany had a huge surprise to receive a $500 donation from Noongar Publishing this week. Donations like these make such a difference to those doing it tough.
Santa has surely come early for our regional branches.
