Southern Ports serving up
in the Southwest

Can you imagine what 25,608 meals looks like? Or guess at how, logistically, more than 25,000 meals are distributed to those most in need in our South West?

The generous team at Southern Ports is always looking to make a difference in the communities they work and live in and thanks to their support, we were able to get food to those who needed it most in the South West, Goldfields-Esperance and Great Southern regions.

So how would this look? 212 hampers have been delivered to those in need in Albany, 535 in Bunbury and 320 in Esperance. That’s equivalent to more than 25,000 meals in under a year.

There has been a significant growth in the need for Foodbank’s services especially as the rising cost of living crisis is directly affecting families in the regions.

Due to the rising need, our regional branches in Albany and Bunbury are expanding our Mobile Foodbank service to cater for those that cannot access our branch directly. In other areas we are joining forces with local partners to deliver the hampers and other items.

The work we do is vitally important. It is only with the help of the community and corporate partners such as Southern Ports that we are able to continue to meet the increasing demand for our services. Thank you Southern Ports.
