Seasonal Sensations
A few months ago, the Glavocich family started to donate a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables to us, between 30 to 100kgs a week.
This small business is run by a second-generation family farm located in Wattleup, Western Australia. Operated by Paul and his wife Crystal.
They started back in 1986 when Paul senior bought a small farming property and worked really hard over the next few years to turn this farming property into a Market Garden, preparing the ground and soil, and setting up all the infrastructure and sprinklers on his own.
Their big picture idea was to be able to share the food that they grew and ate themselves directly with their community, so they created their Farmer’s Choice Produce Boxes as a way to do this.
We believe that healthy foods makes healthy people. Having local produce that was grown down the road by us and other local farms in the area is a fresher and more sustainable way to do your weekly veggie shopping.”
Today, the thriving business delivers both north and south of the river and has a large customer base.
For Paul, donating excess produce was an easy decision, “We like to help people, my father always said that its simple – if you can help someone, help them.”
We are so grateful for our weekly donations, thank you Glavocich family.
