I was lucky to retire at 55. After that, my husband made the money, so when he passed I found it so difficult. I had to move into government housing because the bills and rent were catching up to me.

I’ve been getting food assistance for 4 months as it really helps me with my budget. I get all the stuff I need to help me get by each week. It also means I get to socialise when I come and pick up the groceries.
