Superhero Foods Colouring

Once your work of art is complete, post it to our Foodbank WA Facebook page and tag us #SuperHeroFoodHolidayFun for your chance to win. The competition is open until the end of February 2025.

Our Superhero Foods® HQ website is jam packed with great resources for parents, teachers and health professionals where you can find healthy, quick and affordable recipe ideas and recipe booklets, games for kids and even an interactive web app which makes healthy eating fun.

We have plenty of resources to keep little hands and minds busy, our Let’s Feed the Family book has great tips for getting kids started in the kitchen.

Cooking with kids allows children to express their creativity by experimenting with ingredients, and flavours, turning the kitchen into a fun and creative space. It can also boost their confidence – successfully preparing a meal or even a simple dish can give children a sense of accomplishment and boost their self-esteem.

Importantly, involving kids in cooking helps them learn about healthy foods, the importance of a balanced diet, and can make them more willing to try new or nutritious ingredients. Cooking together is also great way to bond with your kids, encouraging teamwork, communication, and spending quality time together during the holidays.

Engage your kids with healthy eating and see for yourself how boring broccoli can become fun “Mean Green” and a kiddy favourite, and a cob of corn can become super cool “King Corn”, visit the Superhero Foods® HQ website to see what other alter egos can transform eating habits, and help with dinner prep!

For a change of pace, Superhero Foods® HQ has some great games, printable activity sheets and an interactive web app to reinforce the importance of nutritional education.

By participating, you’re not only providing a fun activity for your children but also supporting Foodbank WA’s mission to educate and promote healthy eating habits among young Australians.
