THANK YOU FOR REMINDING US THAT WE HAVEN’T BEEN FORGOTTEN!
In our September appeal we met the Worrell family. Beth, her husband Adrian and their 2 kids, Jack and Abby and their baby on the way. This family like many other farming families in rural communities have been doing it tough for a long time. The Worrell’s had drought proofed their farm but after three years they never expected it to last for so long.
We recently caught up with Beth and met their newest edition Charlie! The family are doing well and are enjoying being a family of five. However, they still haven’t had the rain they so desperately need.
Thanks to your amazing support, you have helped ease the burden for Beth trying to feed her family.
“When I got the very first Foodbank hamper, I cried,” says Beth. “Our farm is our life, it’s not something that we can just go, we’re done this is too hard, there’s no rain, there’s no feed, we’ll just pack up and go, that’s just not an option. We just need to get through it. Thank you to everyone who is helping us stay on our farm.”
Receiving a hamper not only feeds a family but lets our Aussie battlers know that we are thinking of them in the city and will continue to support them. Thank you for your continued support. We will continue to be there for our farming families.
