Winter appeal provides 453,476 meals

As the 2021-2022 financial year has come to an end, Foodbank would like to thank all donors and supporters who have generously donated this Winter. The kindness our supporters have shown through their donations will provide enough food for 453,476 meals. This is enough food for an additional 24 days of meals that struggling South Australian families may have otherwise gone without this Winter.

Every day Foodbank works hard to source, pack and deliver food to struggling families across South Australia.

Thanks to the generosity of the Foodbank community many families and individuals in need will have warm nutritious meals on the table this winter, and their children will no longer have empty tummies.

The kindness of our donors will reach families, like Katie’s, who shared her gratitude in a recent letter:

“Foodbank has meant I can feed my kids and use the grocery money towards other unexpected medical bills. I am grateful for the wonderful people who support Foodbank. And when I get back on my feet I will help Foodbank help families that have struggled like mine.”

More and more people are turning to Foodbank to get access to free and affordable food, as they are struggling to make ends meet in these challenging times. South Australian families like Katie’s, are feeling the pain of the rising costs of living.
