The Great Immanuel College ‘Canstruction’ for Foodbank
Immanuel College recently conducted a whole school service activity called ‘The Great Immanuel Canstruction’, supporting our food relief programs at Foodbank SA.
The Great Immanuel Canstruction was an inter-House event that raised awareness of the work of Foodbank and challenged students to bring cans of food to school, to design and construct a ‘structure’ for their House. The activity required creativity, collaboration, ingenuity, fun and teamwork to support a great cause.
Each House CANSTRUCTION was judged on the total weight of cans donated, structural ingenuity and the most creative design.
Congratulations to Morphett House for their winning CANSTRUCTION!
Foodbank SA would like to thank all Immanuel students for their food donations and energy towards the important work of Foodbank. All the cans of food that were donated weighed an incredible 870 kilograms, which means that Immanuel College students have provided 1,740 meals to people in need in their local community. Great work!
