Adelaide 36ers

ADELAIDE 36ERS ARE PROUDLY SUPPORTING THE

FRUIT & VEG FOR ALL

Foodbank South Australia provides free fruit & veg to those in need.

Through an innovative partnership with the South Australian Produce Market, we source donations of fresh produce from farmers, growers and distributors. Our produce is seasonal more often than not, first grade.

Front line agencies with a Foodbank membership can access Fruit and Vegetables at absolutely no charge as part of our commitment to healthy eating. Vulnerable individuals visiting our Food Hubs can also access fruit and veg for free.

Key Facts

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables account to as much as one third of Foodbank SA’s volume
  • Our facility at the Adelaide Produce Markets trains at risk youth and long term unemployed in food and produce handling, equipping volunteers with job-ready skills
  • Some growers will grow food specifically for Foodbank. We receive oranges and potatoes that are grown to be donated.

BEING ABLE TO OFFER FREE FRUIT AND VEG FROM FOODBANK TO OUR CLIENTS, ESPECIALLY FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN IS SO IMPORTANT.
