FOODBANK FOOD AMNESTY

FOODBANK SA DRIVE THRU FOOD DRIVE – 9 May 2020

For Foodbank SA, these are unprecedented times. Following the devastating summer of droughts and fires, we found ourselves with the next challenge – COVID-19.

Every aspect of our business is currently impacted and this has come at a time when our services will be relied upon by a growing number of South Australians, unable to afford enough food for themselves and their children.

The impacts of coronavirus, panic buying and stockpiling essential of food items has meant that there are some essentials we just can’t obtain. As a result, we are struggling to fill our hampers that will be heading out to families in need. We are in need of the basic pantry items such as: Pasta sauce, long-life milk, tuna, rice, tinned fruit and vegetables (including tinned tomatoes). Other items include: flour, sugar and soap.

We are there in South Australians time of need. But we can’t do it alone.

Date: Saturday, 9 May 2020
Time: 9am to 4:30pm
Location: Foodbank SA, 377 Cross Road Edwardstown.

If you have spare to share during our Foodbank Food Amnesty, we encourage you to donate at our Foodbank Drive Thru Food Drive on 9 May 2020.

Simply drive thru, pop your boot and our volunteers will take care of the rest. There is no shame when you share your spare.

You can also make financial donations on tap & go facilities that will help us to maintain social distancing.
