Community Fundraiser – The Front Porch Project

In April when COVID-19 fell upon Australia and a life of social distancing had been enforced, Foodbank SA were approached by a wonderful woman named TaniaGaylor. Owning her own photography business, Tania had seen an initiative by American photographer, Cara Soulia who had started the concept of #TheFrontStepsProject; taking portraits of families, housemates, friends on the front steps of their house to capture the everyday life that had become COVID-19.

Tania started her own initiative of #TheFrontDoorProjectAdelaide, taking pictures of people within the community with all proceeds going towards Foodbank South Australia. Over the next few months Tania photographed 78 households and raised a total of $5,189, equating to 10,378 meals for South Australians in need.

We extend a huge thank you to Tania for supporting Foodbank during these difficult times and creating a lifelong friendship with everyone here at Foodbank. We also extend a huge thank you to the community and everyone who participated in #TheFrontDoorProjectAdelaide. Together, we can end hunger.
