Looking back on August: A month of your impact in action

Last August was a busy time, with many families struggling to put food on the table. But you helped bring fresh produce to communities in need, including Wagga Wagga and Cowra.

Wagga Wagga

Thanks to your kindness, over 7,000 kgs of fresh fruit and veggies, 200 loaves of bread, and over 1,000 kgs of pantry staples were delivered to families in the quaint town of Wagga Wagga. The relief and gratitude from the families was heartwarming as they filled their bags with free, fresh food – all because of you.

We couldn’t have done this without you, along with the support from Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, the Homelessness Week Expo, and the City of Wagga Wagga.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen.”

Cowra

After visiting Wagga Wagga, the free produce Pop-Up headed to Cowra, where the community was so thankful to receive fresh fruit, veggies, and more.

One local grandma, Geraldine, shared her delight at being able to take home some cabbage and cucumber:

When my granddaughter saw the cabbage she was so happy. She said, ‘Oh grandma, they are

$7 at the shop and I just couldn’t justify buying it at that price.”

All up, over 6,500 kgs of fresh produce was delivered to families who really needed it. And once again, it was all thanks to kind people like you.
